This guide explains how to run the Automated Underwriting System (AUS) in Charlie through the AUS Progress Item. The AUS process ensures loans meet underwriting guidelines by quickly analyzing borrower data.
Instructions to Run AUS through Progress Item
Step 1: Navigate to Automated Underwriting Progress Item
- From any screen, navigate to the Progress Item Sidesheet and click on the Automated Underwriting Progress Item.

Step 2: Run AUS
- Click on the 'RUN AUS' button.

- From the list of AUS options, select the type you want to run. Click 'SUBMIT' to proceed or 'CANCEL' to go back.

- The banner at the top of the screen will show the integration is in progress.

Step 3: Get Results
- After Charlie runs the underwriting analysis, you will be redirected back to the Automated Underwriting Progress Item detail screen.
- The banner at the top will now show that the integration was successful.

- The Automated Underwriting Progress Item status will update to 'NEEDS REVIEW', with a summary of the results.

Step 4: Review Details
- Review the result details on the Automated Underwriting detail screen. Review the Info Boxes for a summary and click through the Tabs to see Details, Findings, and Activities.
Step 5: View PDF
- Click on the Document Sidesheet icon. Select the Findings you wish to view. Note - the most recent will be at the top.
- Click 'Category' to filter to only show AUS Findings.

AUS can also be run in Interview Review. Look for the 'RUN AUS' button in the AUS section.
